WELCOME TO THE 40^th Niagara Falls CATARACTS HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

The Cataracts Hockey Tournament held in beautiful Niagara Falls Ontario in the
Spring month of March each year and is open to Adult Hockey Teams in
Divisions 20+, 35+, 40+, 45+,50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+ PLUS for
2026 hopefully a Women's 18Yrs+ Recreational Division.

To all our Sponsoring Partners and to all the Teams that come to Niagara
each year for an enjoyable weekend, the Cataracts Hockey Tournament
is able to make much needed Donations to many local Charities.

At the arenas their is lots of parking, large change rooms, Canteen and Bar
on site and we have a great Prize Table every year. Tournament Hotels
are no more than a 10 minute drive to the arenas and most Hotels
are within walking distance of one of the 2 Casinos in the city.
And the Falls has many many good restaurants.

The Cataracts Tournament produces large Banners for each tournament that contain
different size ads for our tournament Sponsors. The ads on Banners are much
larger and more visible than they were in our Program. A number of copies
of these banners are placed at various spots around our arenas in places
where they are visible to the hundreds of visitors over the weekend.

Tournament HISTORY

2026 will be the Cataracts Tournament 40^th year and we hope to keep it going for years to come. The teams that come to this tournament each year come to one of the best Arena set ups in Ontario with a 4 plex ice pad at the Gale Centre and one ice pad in neighbouring Chippawa.

The tournament headquarters is located at the Gale Centre and these 5 ice pads is all that's needed in our Great City to accommodate the high number of teams that participate each year

We need your Application with entry fee payment to secure a spot as outlined on the Application form and on the Details page.

The Tournament arenas are located in close proximity to the main action places in Niagara Falls. All Hotels and Casinos are within a 5 to 10 minute drive to the arenas.

When Teams Apply they must submit their Roster at the same time. Final Rosters are due by February 15 each year so any changes to Rosters need to be in the tournaments hands by this date. The Tournament needs Rosters when seeding teams. The tournament looks at the Age and Experience of each player plus uses the history of players/teams that played in the Cataracts previously when seeding teams.

Hotels: A big part of the Cataracts Tournament is donating to a number of local Charities in Niagara Falls each year. In that regard the Tournament secures advantageous hotel room rates in advance for participating teams. We give the list of hotels to each team when they Apply and this list of Sponsoring Hotels is also available by clicking on 'Hotels' above.
